About this place
Whether you want to take your time choosing a whisky or start with a cocktail, BAR Chibaru’s listed menu offers bottles at a range of prices, including Kaku (700 yen) and Yoichi (1,300 yen). Gin and tonics, gin and lime, gin Rickeys and gin Bucks are all 700 yen. There is room to try gin in different styles and find a favourite. Beer, shochu and sake are also listed; Suigei and Harushika are 700 yen each.
One visitor particularly enjoyed chatting with the bartender and learning about the stories and cultural background behind the drinks. You can arrive with a particular bottle in mind, or let the conversation inspire you to try something different.
For those who do not drink alcohol, the menu also lists ginger ale, cola and oolong tea, each 500 yen. Dine-in and table service are available. The bar is open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 18:00 to 23:00.
